On today’s CBS and Days of Our Lives episode of Daytime Confidential Luke, Jamey, Mike and Jillian discuss the latest in As the World Turns, The Bold and the Beautiful, Days of Our Lives, Guiding Light and The Young and the Restless news and storylines, including:
Tamara Tunie is returning to As the World Turns so that Jessica can usher Bonnie off screen. Wouldn’t it be nice if she stuck around? Would Jessica and Dusty make a good couple? How did One Life to Live’s Tika Sumpter end up in a conversation about Tunie’s return? ATWT has to pull it out if it wants to survive. Watching what is happening to ATWT is déjà vu of what happened to Guiding Light last year. Could ATWT avoid cancellation if they stepped it up? Guiding Light filmed its last episode ever this past week. Jamey believes no soap in its end game has ever created a couple with as much buzz as Otalia. The show has nothing to lose, why not give fans what they want? It really takes some doing to piss off Daytime Confidential’s J. Bernard, but Guiding Light figured out a way to do it. We didn’t know it was possible. The rivalry between Forrester Creations and Jackie M. heated up as both fashion houses competed for bragging rights. Would Jillian buy anything from either collection? Should The Bold and the Beautiful hire a fashion consultant? Does B&B have a hit on its hands with Brad and Katie? Wally Kurth returned to Days of Our Lives as Justin Kiriakis. Jamey reacts to his return while Luke questions if Justin was making eyes at Hope. Jamey wants Judi Evans back in Salem as Adrienne asap. Devon and Tyra had sex on The Young and the Restless. Did anyone actually want to see it or enjoy watching them grope each other? Tatyana Ali stole the scenes and she can act. Y&R needs to figure out how to keep her around. Y&R needs to integrate the Winters family better. Should Rafe and Heather become Y&R’s Will and Grace? Is the JT we remember back? Mike and Jamey want Mary Williams to return. Mike is upset about how Sharon is being written. Jamey has a shout out for a Lane fan listener. |
