Plans for the 37th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards to air this June 27 on CBS are on and popping, thanks in large part to the men and women behind Associated Television International, like company president David McKenzie. On today's episode of Daytime Confidential, Luke and Jamey chat with another of ATI's power players, self-proclaimed soap opera lover Jim Romanovich, president of worldwide media and entertainment for ATI.
Jim reveals how ATI managed to once again save the Daytime Emmy telecast, and offers up a sneak peek into what fans of daytime television can expect from the award show. Romanovich then shares some of his thoughts on his own fave sudsers, like General Hospital and dishes about ATI's interest in re-imagining a classic soap brand. Guess which soap Jamey wants ATI to do a next generation project for? Soap fans won't wanna miss what this talented and prolific producer has to say about the industry! |
