On today’s Daytime Confidential podcast Luke, Jillian, Regan and Belinda discuss the latest in All My Children, The Bold and the Beautiful, Days of our Lives, General Hospital, One Life to Live and The Young and the Restless storylines and news, including:
NBC renews Days of our Lives for two more years. With this renewal will the show figure out ways to make its storylines more appealing and not drag out as long? Vivian is free of the sarcophagus, but now she’s holding Maggie captive in it. Sami and Nicole face off when Nicole tries to get access to Sydney. Chloe gives birth.
One Life to Live scores the headline grabbing Kourtney Kardashian for a guest spot. Reportedly, she will play a lawyer and mix it up with Cristian and Blair. Is this a good thing for OLTL? OLTL also cast former General Hospital star Ted King in a role that will be a love interest for Blair and we couldn’t be more excited. More details have come out on how long Clint has known Rex is his son.
All My Children releases a webisoap to introduce Jordi Vilasuso, Kendall’s new love interest. Did the DC gang enjoy it? Even though Luke was never a fan of Zach he did enjoy the Zendall flashbacks AMC aired.
Andrea Evans returns to The Bold and the Beautiful as Amber’s mother Tawny. How will her return impact her daughter? Jack Wagner and Sherri Shepherd guest on Hot in Cleveland.
Carly has uncovered Brenda’s secret, but what will she do with the information? Ethan and Maya get married in Vegas, but would have it been more hilarious if Tracey and Ethan had been the couple who ended up married? How will Edward’s manipulations impact Ethan and Maya’s marriage?
Jillian weighs in on the Victor and Meggie saga. Did anyone believe Meggie would pull one over on Victor? Should The Young and the Restless make Deacon more of a viable threat than they are writing him now? Daisy returned to Genoa City, supposedly pregnant with Daniel’s baby. What does Jillian think of this latest development? Who should Diane Jenkins be with? Luke likes her with both Victor and Jack, but Jillian wants them to stay far away from her.

The Bold and the Beautiful’s Thomas kisses Brooke. It may have been a stunt, but Luke looks forward to the drama it stirs up. Heather Tom lands a guest spot on The Mentalist.

Daytime Confidential/Pop Confidential’s Luke, Jamey, Jillian and Regan returned to Sirius XM's The Morning Jolt With Larry Flick Friday, November 5 for two hours of daytime and pop culture dissection with Flick and his partner-in-snark Keith Price.
In the wild first hour, Larry let loose with several comments about General Hospital’s Elizabeth Webber that had Jamey, Luke and Regan howling in defense of their sacred heroine, as DC's lone JaSam fan Jillian cheered. The return of Vanessa Marcil Giovinazzo as Brenda Barrett was also discussed. Does the veteran Billboard writer and radio personality feel the story is limping along like the DC'ers?
The discussion shifted to One Life to Live, the show Larry previously said should be canceled the last time the gang appeared. Has the return of soap superstar Kim Zimmer as Countess Echo di Savoy helped change that opinion? What about All My Children, The Bold and the Beautiful, Y&R and DAYS? Don't worry, they all get plenty of raunchy, hilarious service!
During the second hour, Larry dives into Pop Confidential territory, taking Luke to task over his dislike of country's current teen queen Taylor Swift. Then, pop culture meets politics as Larry and Keith weigh in on the recent Pop Confidential podcast debate over former President George W. Bush saying Kanye West’ claiming Bush hated black people was the low point of his presidency. If you thought this crew was crazy by themselves, just wait 'til you hear Out Q's most outrageous duo added to the mix!

All My Children casts former As the World Turns star Sara Glendening as Marissa. Luke isn’t impressed by the news and Regan wonders why we even need Marissa? Former General Hospital and Port Charles star Eddie Matos joins AMC.
The Bold and the Beautiful’s Ashley Jones is bumped to recurring. B&B newcomer Kristolyn Lloyd earns contract status. The Bold and the Beautiful airs special episodes focusing on the homeless. Former Guiding Light star Elvera Roussel drops in on B&B.
Days of our Lives’ Louise Sorel previews Vivian’s next move. Days of our Lives casts former General Hospital star Natalia Livingston as Nicole’s younger sister. What will Sami do when she finds out Ma Brady switched the paternity tests? The show’s ratings go up.
General Hospital’s Lulu uncovers Dante and Brenda’s connection. Will the secret they share wreck Dante’s credibility? Luke wants there to be a Dante and Brenda love child hidden away somewhere, but no one else on the podcast likes the idea. Did anyone actually watch ABC’s “classic” episodes on October 28?
ABC is touting One Life to Live clobbering The Talk in the ratings. Hillary B. Smith reups her contract to keep her in Llanview. Susan Haskell is bringing it at Marty. Todd and Tea are reunited. Who should Blair be with now that Todd and Tea are back together? The Hannah storyline collapsed in the scenes where she holds James and Starr at gunpoint. Luke asks the DC gang what they think of Kim Zimmer’s Echo now that she’s been in town for a while.
Meggie’s plot to get Nikki out of the way so she can get her hands on Victor is well on its way. Daisy returns to Genoa City, supposedly pregnant with Daniel’s baby. Abby and Victoria take on Victor, but can they steal Beauty of Nature?
