On today's episode of Daytime Confidential, Luke and Jamey welcome back one of DC's favorite soap scene stealers, Ilene Kristen. The DC boys get to the bottom of why we haven't seen much of Kristen's hilariously-heartfelt character, Roxy Balsom of late on One Life to Live, Were Roxy and Ilene casualties of ABC's decision to "Kish off" her screen partner Brett Claywell and later Roxy's newfound son Schuyler (Scott Clifton)? Roxy's other son, Rex (John-Paul Lavoisier) was recently searching for his biological father and her daughter Natalie (Melissa Archer) is currently dealing with a "Who's The Daddy?" pregnancy predicament, yet Roxy has strangely been missing from those stories. Kristen says she's as confused by that as we are. Luke and Jamey also get the skinny on Kristen being cast in the most anticipated web sudser since Venice, Gregori J. Martin's The Bay, and find out what else the amazingly-talented singer-actress has been up to. |

On today’s Daytime Confidential episode Luke, Jamey, Regan and Jillian dish about the latest All My Children, As the World Turns, The Bold and the Beautiful, Days of our Lives, General Hospital, One Life to Live and The Young and the Restless storylines and news, including: Should Robin Christopher return to All My Children now that her time on General Hospital is wrapping up? JR, Annie and Adam are all battling for control of Chandler and Skye’s return might just up the intensity. Ryan suffers from an aneurysm and we’re led to believe once again that Greenlee is the love of Ryan’s life. Luke’s convinced that AMC is trying to make him hate Greenlee. As the World Turns revealed their plans for the upcoming tribute to Helen Wagner. Lucinda is pleased when Sierra returns to Oakdale. Scott Clifton made his debut on The Bold and the Beautiful. Steffy gets what’s coming to her after all her manipulations of Brooke and Oliver. Luke was surprised to discover how much he enjoyed Ridge accepting Brooke’s mistake for what it was and wanting to move past it. Jamey cannot believe B&B is wasting a major talent like Sarah Brown. She shouldn’t be on the back burner. She should be front and center. Days of our Lives gives Lindsay Hartley the pink slip just when things were getting good. EJ and Arianna had great chemistry and showed potential. Jamey would like to see her end up on One Life to Live as Kim and have that character mix things up with Clint again. Night time hope tries to burn down the house around Bo. Will Ty Treadway coming to Salem entice Regan to tune in? The Franco Fiasco is really screwing up General Hospital and is laughable. Bring on the Cassadine storyline that was sidelined for the first Franco stint and give us something that isn’t a joke. Unlike the Franco debacle the shootout at the hospital was gripping. The DC gang weighs in on the Drew Garrett rumors that surfaced online about him possibly going to The Young and the Restless. One Life to Live casts Billy Warlock in the role of Ross Rayburn. Are both Jessica and Natalie’s babies Brody’s? Much like the Franco Fiasco on General Hospital the Bennett Thompson mess on OLTL just doesn’t make sense. Why did they have to turn a character with so much potential into a mustache twirler? Isn’t there a better way to give Robin Strasser and Erika Slezak a storyline? Welcome to a very Brady The Young and the Restless as the No. 1 rated soap casts Susan Olsen in a drive-by role. Jillian weighs in on the debut of Malcolm’s fiancé Sofia and shares her first impression. Cricket knows Ronan’s secret, but will they keep it from Nina or will they tell her the truth? |

How will All My Children and One Life to Live fans take having their show’s being pre-empted for a Brenda marathon? ABC moved All My Children to L.A. to reduce production costs, but has it worked? Find out what Jamey is hearing. The Wrap published an interesting analysis of the daytime genre and in it revealed that media buyers prefer soaps to other daytime formats. Valerie Bertinelli’s talk show–in the running to replace As the World Turns–has reportedly failed to wow network executives. The Young and the Restless’ Kristoff St. John clears up his status with the show. One Life to Live’s Tika Sumpter chooses to go on recurring and Mary Beth Evans returns to Days of our Lives. In the interview, Haiduk talks about being let go from Y&R, being snubbed by the Daytime Emmys, trying to balance Patty’s insanity and with her humanity, whether-or-not Tracey Bregman’s doppelganger storyline undermined the Patty and Emily story, sharing scenes with Peter Bergman and Doug Davidson and what it was like to work with that leading man of leading men, Mr. Kitty. We then discuss how Days of our Lives managed to snap Haiduk up, her Salem role as the Warden and Jamey tries to find out if her character might end up being Kristen Blake DiMera as he Wishfully Cast. Steffy pushes Brooke out of Forrester Creations on The Bold and the Beautiful, but why isn’t Stephanie more involved? The Jackie/Owen/Bridget triangle heats up as Nick pushes Bridget aside. Days of our Lives’ Nicole has uncovered the truth about EJ’s involvement in the kidnapping, just as EJ and Sami’s relationship grows stronger. Philip finds out Chloe is pregnant. Regan and Luke are enjoying Franco’s return more than his last run. Sonny almost blows up his daughter Kristina on General Hospital. Why is GH destroying Scrubs and Spixie?
